Logistics and Supply Chain Management Students Gain Practical Experience at Sowatco Long Binh Port

On the afternoon of February 19, 2025, final-year students from class 22LG111, majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, had the opportunity to visit and gain hands-on experience at Sowatco Long Binh Port as part of their "Port Operations and Management" course.

Covering an area of 200,000m², Sowatco Long Binh Port boasts a prime location along the Dong Nai River and the Nguyen Xien Road frontage in Long Binh Ward, District 9. Thanks to its strategic position, the port plays a crucial role in facilitating cargo connections between Ho Chi Minh City and the southeastern and southwestern regions, significantly contributing to the growth of the logistics industry.

During the visit, students not only observed port operations firsthand—including port exploitation, vessel management and coordination, cargo handling, and related logistics activities—but also had the chance to interact with port officials and industry experts. Questions regarding advanced operational technologies, cargo control processes, supply chain management strategies, and career prospects in the logistics field were thoroughly addressed, providing students with a more practical and in-depth perspective on their future profession.

This field trip not only reinforced students' academic knowledge but also provided invaluable real-world experiences, laying a solid foundation for their confidence as they prepare to enter the professional working environment.
