Send-off ceremony for Lac Hong Robocon delegation to the Vietnam Robot Contest 2024

A ceremony to see off the Lac Hong Robocon delegation to the Vietnam Robot Innovation Contest 2024 was held at Auditorium A301 on April 23, 2024.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - Rector; Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Vice Rector; DSc. Pham Van Toan - Dean of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics; representatives of units under LHU; members of the Robocon Steering Committee; robot teams; along with the special presence of Mr. Gerald Ho - General Director of SMC Corporation (Vietnam) Co., Ltd.; Ms. Pham Thi Uyen Tram - Managing Director of Mabuchi Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Tran Minh Sang - Sales Manager of ZWSOFT Vietnam Co., Ltd.

At the event, Mr. Gerald Ho representing the SMC Corporation Company and Mr. Tran Minh Sang representing the ZWSOFT Vietnam Company delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of supporting and developing talents in robotics and automation, and also sent uplifting words of encouragement to the LHU Robocon delegation. On the occasion, LHU honorably received equipment sponsorship worth nearly 400 million VND from the SMC Corporation Company, ZWSOFT Vietnam Company and Mabuchi Motor Vietnam Company.

Also at the event, Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - Head of Lac Hong Robocon Board issued a departure order for robot teams, concurrently giving words of encouragement to all members. This is a traditional activity, at the same time representing the meaning of the program. Head of Lac Hong Robocon 2024 delegation Nguyen Ba Thuan on behalf of instructors and robot teams also made a promise of determination. 

LHU has won 9 championships at the Vietnam Robot Innovation Contest and 3 championships at the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest. This year, LHU has 5 teams including J4F, WAC, UIS, VFLAME, NSMF participating in the upcoming preliminary round scheduled to take place in Hanoi from May 4 to 5.
