The delegation from Lac Hong University attended the workshop "Risk Governance in the Context of Internationalization and Digital Transformation."

RISK GOVERNANCE: SHAPING THE FUTURE OF SUSTAINABLE EDUCATION

June 10-11, 2025 – In the current landscape of global higher education, marked by relentless internationalization and robust digital transformation, risk governance has emerged as a pivotal factor determining the quality and sustainability of educational institutions. The specialized workshop, "Risk Governance for Higher Education Institutions in the Context of Internationalization and Digital Transformation," held on June 10-11, 2025, at the VNU-HCM Board of Directors Building, garnered significant attention from the Vietnamese academic community.

The workshop attracted considerable interest and participation from numerous experts, education administrators, and quality assurance officers representing universities nationwide. Lac Hong University was honored to have the following delegation in attendance:

The workshop, co-organized by the Center for Education Accreditation – VNU-HCM and Outside The Box Security Solutions (OTBSS), facilitated eight intensive sessions focusing on essential topics such as: risk identification in higher education, risk assessment tools and mitigation strategies, cybersecurity and data risk management in the context of digital transformation, risk communication and reporting, ISO 9001-compliant risk thinking, and practical action planning.

The workshop was expertly chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam – Director of the Center for Education Accreditation – VNU-HCM.

The distinguished speakers who shared their insights at the workshop included:

Furthermore, the adoption of ISO 9001-compliant risk thinking and practical action planning strengthens institutional frameworks, enhancing transparency, accountability, and the efficiency of the management apparatus, thereby demonstrating sound governance and a positive impact on the educational environment.

• SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure: Proactive management of cybersecurity and data risks is vital in the era of digital transformation, contributing to the establishment of resilient digital educational infrastructure and fostering innovation in training and research.
