On 28 August 2024, the Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association, in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology and Lac Hong University, organized the program “Investment Capital Calling for Startup Projects” 2024.
This program is part of the series of events of Dong Nai Innovation Startup Day 2024, taking place from 27 to 30 August, aiming to support prize-winning projects from the Dong Nai Provincial Innovation Startup Competition in developing and expanding their production and business activities, as well as developing new products.

Attending the program were Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh – Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai Province; Mr. Doan Hung Minh – Deputy Director of the Center for Science and Technology; PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Head of The Faculty of Administration International Economics (FAIE), Lac Hong University, Member of the Vietnam Innovation Startup Advisory Council, Executive Committee Member of the Southern Startup Advisory and Support Council; Mr. Pham Trong Nghia – Chairman of the Tay Ninh Young Entrepreneurs Association; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan – Vice Chairman of the Provincial Import-Export Association, Executive Committee Member of the Southern Startup Advisory and Support Council.

Representing the Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association and investors were Mr. Nguyen Duy Khuong – Member of the Southern Startup Advisory and Support Council, Executive Committee Member of the Vietnam Investment and Startup Club, Head of the Trang Bom – Thong Nhat Young Entrepreneurs Chapter; Mr. Tran Quang Huan – Vice Head of the Bien Hoa City Young Entrepreneurs Chapter, Director of Chinh Nam Design and Construction Joint Stock Company; Ms. Pham Thi Hong Phuong – Head of Ecotech Village; and Ms. Cao Thi Thao Mi – Executive Committee Member, Chief of Office of the Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association, Director of V-Star Media Co., Ltd.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Khuong – Member of the Southern Startup Advisory and Support Council, Executive Committee Member of the Vietnam Investment and Startup Club, Head of the Trang Bom – Thong Nhat Young Entrepreneurs Chapter – invested in the project “Developing a Cordyceps Cultivation Room Chain – High-Tech Agriculture.”
At the investment session, six projects called for investment capital, including: The project on Conservation and Development of Xa Tam Phan Medicinal Herbs – For Community Health, Second Prize winner at the Dong Nai Provincial Innovation Startup Competition 2021; Van Huong Herbal Clean Incense Project, Third Prize winner at the 2022 Dong Nai Provincial Innovation Startup Competition; Developing a Cordyceps Cultivation Room Chain – High-Tech Agriculture, Second Prize winner at the 2024 Dong Nai Provincial Innovation Startup Competition; Agricultural Ecotourism Model and Typical OCOP Products Applied in Hang Gon, Third Prize winner at the 2024 Dong Nai Provincial Innovation Startup Competition; Ha Vy Crocodile Leather Farming, Production and Trading Project, First Prize winner at the 2024 Dong Nai Provincial Innovation Startup Competition; Cohafood Integrated Craft Household Business, Third Prize winner at the 2019 Dong Nai Provincial Innovation Startup Competition.
At the program, the project “Developing a Cordyceps Cultivation Room Chain – High-Tech Agriculture” by Ms. Tran Thi Tham successfully called for 1 billion VND (including 500 million VND invested in freeze-drying equipment and 500 million VND invested in expanding the cultivation room chain) from two investors: Mr. Nguyen Duy Khuong, Executive Committee Member of the Vietnam Investment and Startup Club, and Mr. Pham Trong Nghia, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Young Entrepreneurs Association.
The project “Developing a Cordyceps Cultivation Room Chain – High-Tech Agriculture” secured 1 billion VND from two investors: Mr. Pham Trong Nghia, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Young Entrepreneurs Association, and Mr. Nguyen Duy Khuong, Executive Committee Member of the Vietnam Investment and Startup Club.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Khuong, Executive Committee Member of the Vietnam Investment and Startup Club, stated: At the investment calling session, the projects demonstrated their full potential, attractiveness, and feasibility. Securing investment capital is not everything; this is a platform. If fortunate to receive funding, project owners must strive even harder to fulfill their responsibilities and jointly elevate their products and services, thereby proving that their projects are truly worthy of investment.
Mr. Pham Trong Nghia, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Young Entrepreneurs Association, committed to investing capital in the Van Huong Herbal Clean Incense Project.
On this occasion, Mr. Pham Trong Nghia also committed to investing capital in the Van Huong Herbal Clean Incense Project by Ms. Le Thi Cam Van to enhance production capacity and develop products. Projects that did not receive direct investment commitments during the program will still have opportunities when enterprises conduct site visits and further explore cooperation potential.
